360,000 Californians are without clean water to drink -- but we can do something to change that!

If you are like most Californians, you know the water that comes out of your tap is some of the cleanest in the world. But unfortunately that isn’t the case for everyone.

In fact, the Sacramento Bee just reported that 360,000 Californians lack access to clean, safe drinking water and are left with no other option than to “drink, shower, cook and wash dishes with water containing excessive amounts of pollutants, including arsenic, nitrates and uranium.”

This is unacceptable! Fortunately there’s something you can do to help.

Governor Brown has proposed legislation to create a Safe and Affordable Drinking Water Fund to help disadvantaged communities fund infrastructure investments critically needed to improve water quality.

Tell your Assembly member and Speaker Anthony Rendon you support clean, safe drinking water for all Californians and to prioritize bringing this crucial bill to a vote.

No child should go to schools where the water from the drinking fountains is unsafe, and no parent should ever be forced to buy bottled water to wash or feed their families.

Thankfully, the solution is clear. We have the opportunity to fund critical programs to improve access to clean, safe drinking water for disadvantaged communities across California.

Speaker Rendon has been a champion for drinking water in the past, authoring legislation to increase access to safe drinking water in schools -- but powerful interests are lobbying against these important protections. Our lawmakers need to hear from you today!

Tell your Assemblymember you support this safe drinking water for all Californians and urge Speaker Rendon to prioritize bringing this critical legislation to a vote today.

Californians from across our state are rallying on the Capitol steps to demand action to fund clean drinking water.

Today Californians from across our state are rallying on the Capitol steps to demand action to fund clean drinking water. Stand with them by signing the petition today!
